Ashley learned at a young age that life can be cut short and the need to take advantage of every moment given in our lives is very important. At age 11 Ashley suffered an illness that her doctors only thought was a flu or at worse pneumonia. On April 18th, a week after her birthday and the day before the Oklahoma City Bombing Ashley went in to seizures.. Paramedics were called. Ashley was intubated and transported to the closest hospital that also happened to have the best pediatric facility. Ashley continued to have seizures while they were trying to figure out what was the matter with her. Ashley had over 100 seizures and slipped into a coma. Her diagnosis was meningeal encephalitis exacerbated by Mycoplasma pneumonia. Ashley was a very ill little girl. Her level 8 gymnastic coaches and her teammates came in and cried with the family, and her elementary school sent two fellow classmate representatives to bring drawings the students made for Ashley’s room. Ashley was not getting better and was suggested the family make arrangements. A priest came to give Ashley’s last rights and he to cried with and consoled the family. Days went on with Ashley in a coma and when all was thought lost Ashley woke up, as if coming out of a deep sleep. She had a partial paralysis on the right side of her body which made it difficult to talk, walk and remember things, but she was awake and alive. Ashley worked with physical therapists and her elementary school teacher would come to her home after school 3 times a week to work with Ashley to help her remember and not fall to far behind in her studies. The doctors said "If she was an average child she would not have survived". Ashley's intense workouts, muscle mass and strength helped her fight off this illness. Ashley’s love for sports made her work hard to recover. Her love of sports brought her back to full faculties. People try to put her in a category but normally it's the wrong one. Yes, she is blonde and yes she's petite, but she has a drive and ambition that compares to none. Ashley had a strong will and strength before becoming ill, but after she changed in a way and was even more of a goal getting achiever. Anything she set her mind to do she did it and then some. She has a passion in her belly and a love for god, life, people and learning that keeps her going day after day. To look at Ashley now you'd never know what she had been through, but this is what drives her every day to be a good person, work hard and love life. Should be able to bottle this energy, it would be worth millions.

Hi and Thank you for visiting my website!
There are a few questions people always ask me so thought I'd put my responses here :)
What do you enjoy about being an actor and model?
I enjoy the time I spend with those I've worked with, looking forward to those I will work with, & hearing from supporting fans of my work. I also love the excitement of beginning and working on a new project.
How would you describe yourself?
Best way to describe me is fun, outgoing, athletic, career oriented, high morals and beliefs, strong minded, people person, friendly, caring, honest, tough, a team player and a nut.
What message do you want to send out to your fans?
First of all.. thank you!
Second, I believe we all need to be good role models. It's tough being young and finding ones place in society, but even harder when there are no good role models in ones life.. that is where we come in. Live by example and others will see that they can do anything they set their mind to do. We all need role models in our lives.. including me. There are those out there that will try and stop your passion, that's where the meaning cross roads fits in. We need to find that right path and stick to it no matter what obsticals come our way. Sometimes we will be driven off that path, but don't give up! Find that path and get back on it.. it's never to late! Remembering that there are those out there that pay attention to what others are doing, and that reminds me to keep to my goals and hope I am setting a good example for those younger than myself.
If you can, take time to become a good role model for someone you know that could use one :)
I live by the motto.. "God gives us the Talent.. We must give the Effort". I have lived by this motto since I was 11 years old and I believe in it strongly.
Thank you for supporting me and the encouragement you have shown in my work and efforts to advance.
~Ashley
